Ideal place for exploring Seattle. We enjoyed to be here, its staff and location. 10 minutes' walk to the bus stop. A king size bed was a bonus.
It was very neat & so big hotel, terrific staff and location. The bed was great, we appreciated it and slept well. The property was right by stores and a market...
The check-in was easy, we loved Irish bar. Coffeemaker and a fridge were available in the kitchen. We stayed for 1 night here, loved Downtown Seattle district. We used shuttle too.
The staff was best and we really enjoyed the downstairs bar. For lunch or dinner go to Bahn Thai Restaurant, located right at the hotel.
That breakfast was missing.
The Maxwell was a wonderful hotel to stay at. The staff was very pleasant and answered all of our questions. More than one staff member offered suggestions of sites to see and places to visit while in Seattle. Our room was beautiful and the bed was super comfortable!!! When we visit Seattle again, we will definitely stay at the Maxwell! Oh, and the complimentary pineapple cupcakes were delicious.
The doors to the rooms were very heavy and slammed shut which caused quite a bit of internal noise. Other than that, no complaints.
This is not a cheap hotel but it is probably the best hotel in value for money. Very good location, excellent service, lots of facilities, big rooms, very confortable beds, etc.
The size and cleanliness of the rooms were better than expected. The hotel is very quiet. We liked the proximity to the monarail and Seattle Center. The hotel is within walking distance of many very good restaurants as well.
Excellent hotel with very welcoming and helpful staff.
Very clean and modern, and is in convenient location if you travel by car. It was great that they offer a free parking. Lobby area is very spacious and fancy, so as the interior in each room.
It was a shame that the room does not have a bathtub. The room was a little small compare to the other downtown hotels. There are no restaurants or bars in the hotel even though the surrounding area does not have many of them.
We were looking for a hotel close to McCaw Hall, so the location was perfect! We got a large room and comfortable room, wich was very comfortable. I like the fact the room offered complimentary coffee and water, as well as the microwave.
The swimming pool was not very warm and internet was not very stable.
Really liked the room, especially the shower. The room was very elegant and welcoming. We also liked that you had free, underground parking. that area is not the easiest place to find parking on the Saturday night and leaving you car out all night on the street is no especially comforting.
For me the bed quilt was a little on the heavy side, weight wise. Other than that everything else was great.
Well-designed, attractive and comfortable rooms, which have been well-maintained and are spotless. Reception staff at check-in were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Location is excellent, a short walk away from the Seattle Center and Space Needle, from which the monorail provides easy access to downtown. Free parking definitely a bonus as well. The adjoining restaurant/pub The Rock served excellent pizza and locally-brewed beer. We were sad to be only staying one night.
It was a great hotel!! The staff is great, it is clean and comfortable!! The Rock Bar/Restaurant was great!!
nice place and god staff
Downtown Seattle has very little to offer in breakfast/brunch restaurants and the staff @ the Maxwell were great in recommending great places to eat brunch before we took off. fThe gym was minimal and we had it to ourselves when we were working out, which was nice. The front lobby was large and had a relaxed air about it and the staff were always friendly. It was great that the Maxwell had a shuttle bus into the downtown core from early am to early evening, but walking was not a problem to and from downtown.
Even though the suites were comfortable the design was a little tight. There was no real closet, some things squished in to save space. The pool was disappointingly small and no hot tub or sauna. The elevators took forever to arrive at their destinations!!!
